What we're all about
Our chapter began in August 1996 and averages 15-20 members. Oakland County Lakes Area Chapter
#135 includes members in the following communities: Commerce, Highland, Milford, Walled Lake, Waterford, West Bloomfield,
White Lake, Wixom, and Wolverine Lake.
Mothers & More is committed to creating a place for mothers to feel a part of a larger community of women
who are experiencing the challenges that all mothers face, not only in raising children but also in fulfilling their sense
of self and self-worth. We believe this begins with a sense of belonging, a space where women feel safe among friends, where
they are able to utilize their gifts and celebrate their uniqueness; where they can truly be
themselves.
Here are some of the activities and events we host year-round in support of mothers including:

Monthly meetings at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital with discussions on a range topics concerning parenting today
• Monthly
mothers' nights out & annual social events
• Monthly book club
• Playgroups
• Bunco Nights
•
Charitable efforts and volunteer opportunities
• A local support network of mothers with children of all ages, with
access to national resources and support

We meet on a monthly basis (the third Wednesday of the month), and at our meetings we have speakers and/or
activities.
Our members meet on the 3rd Wednesday every month, from 7-9 pm.
Meetings are held at Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in the lower level community
room. Please check in at security to get your Visitor Pass and directions.
In addition to the meetings we have this website which serves as our main way of communication about
the chapter and our activities. We also add our memebers to an email loop so we can be in touch with each other easily.
